Elizabeth Swanson Named Co-director of Kokandy’s Head Over Heals

Some exciting news announced today: I will be co-directing HEAD OVER HEELS this summer with Kokandy Productions! This will be the first regional production of the musical since its Broadway run closed in January of this year. My fearless co-director is Kokandy’s newly appointed producing artistic director Derek Van Barham. Breon Arzell will choreograph and Kyra Leigh will music direct.

HEAD OVER HEELS follows the escapades of a royal family on a journey to save their kingdom from extinction. The music of the iconic 1980’s all-female rock band The Go-Go’s, featuring the hit songs, “We Got the Beat,” “Our Lips Are Sealed,” “Vacation,” Belinda Carlisle’s “Heaven is a Place on Earth” and “Mad About You.”
